November 14, 2018, Wednesday – 9th Annual Chili Cook-off!
When: 5:30pm – 8pm
Where: Rabbits Foot Meadery
What: Friends of Rabbit’s Foot Meadery! It is that time of year where you start your recipe planning/testing for the Rabbit’s Foot Meadery annual Chili Cook Off! Every year we hold the Chili Cook Off on a Wednesday in Early November. The date is rapidly approaching and we can’t wait to see what you bring this year for our Chili Showdown!
Please feel free to arrive early and have a couple of beverages while chili contestants arrive. Note that judging will not begin until 6:30pm, and that this IS NOT YOUR DINNER, you will only be able to have samples.
Rules for Entering Chili:
1. Open to all contestants that are 21+
2. You may bring ANY style of Chili as an entry (ex: All bean, all meat, no beans, no meat, meat & beans, vegan, veggie etc.)
3. Please indicate in the comments below if you are Entering a chili so we can get an idea of how many contestants we will have.
4. We reccommend bringing between 30-50 1oz samples.
5. You are responsible for small bringing a ladle, SMALL disposable cups/spoons, and whatever accoutrements your chili requires. (We suggest bringing your chili in a crock pot to keep things warm— we generally have plenty of outlets and extension cords to accommodate entries)
Rules for Guests Judging:
Judging is open to all who attend, and will begin no later than 6:30pm— late entries may not be accepted, so please arrive no later than 6pm for chili to be considered.
And Remember… this is a steel cage, no holds barred ultimate throw down of chili superiority!
November 20, 2018, Tuesday – Friendsgiving Potluck
When: 5pm – Closing
Where: Rabbit’s Foot Meadery
What: Join us the a few days before Thanksgiving for a festive Meadery Friendsgiving Potluck!
We will be serving a house mulled mead and a selection of our usual tap offerings.
Please bring Thanksgiving inspired bites (feel free to get creative with those flavors and do something different than the usual fare!), and post below what you plan on bringing!
We look forward to seeing you for this fun event!
December 21, 2018, Friday – Ugly Sweater Party & Holiday Cookie Swap
When: 5pm – Closing
Where: Rabbit’s Foot Meadery
What: Pull on your ugliest holiday sweaters and join us for a fun evening.
Please feel free to bring a dozen of your favorite cookies to share, mix, and mingle. You’ll leave with cookies and holiday inspiration (or you can eat them… no judgment).
We’ll be serving our house mulled mead, and pouring from all 12 taps.
Voting for Ugliest sweater at 6:30pm, 1st place prize TBD!
